Immigration will heat up in Congress next week

The issue of immigration will heat up in Congress next week as the Senate debates an amendment that would give five year visas to agricultural workers who are in the United States illegally.

Groups seeking a crack down on illegal immigration say the measure amounts to an amnesty for lawbreakers.

The amendment — by Sen. Dianne Feinstein — was passed Thursday by the Senate Appropriations Committee as an amendment to a large spending bill to fund the Iraq War.

“This amendment provides a consistent, stable workforce for an industry that depends almost exclusively on undocumented labor - agriculture,” Feinstein said. “And it provides temporary status for those who have worked in agriculture and who will continue to work in agriculture for a number of years.”

In addition, she said: “This is not amnesty. It is an emergency agricultural worker bill, which will give protected status to those workers who have worked in agriculture within the last 48 months.”

Read Feinstein’s press release here.

Another immigration measure, that would allow more H-2B temporary visas for low-skilled non-agricultural workers, was also approved by the committee as a part of the Iraq spending bill.

The traitors already have silently pushed through a huge Amnesty for 3 million illegal aliens, plus god knows service industry workers. They hide it in the Iraq War appropriations package. Two Benedict Arnolds, who didn’t face public opinion, but like skulking cowards slipped it through in a night session. Who do you think is going to pay for their welfare support? Taxpayers! We pay! Not the parasite employers and farmers! They know 80% of the American people will deny amnesty, so they enacted behind closed doors. These Democrats are no better then the panderers in Sanctuary cities. Call and say NO..! ( 202-224-3121 )

Diane Feinstein should be drug from her office and thrown in prison . Look at her and her husbands investments and you will know why she supports illegal aliens .
She comes from a State that has used illegal aliens to steal congressional seats.
There is no morality in the Democratic party, that is why so many are switching to Independent. They scream about the cost and deaths in Iraq , yet hide the facts about illegal aliens. Iraq costs less for the same amount of time space since 9/11 , over 4,000 dead Iraq, 64,000 dead at the hands of illegals inside our borders. When Dems hide these facts who is the real threat?

Senator Feinstein is just one of the complete idiots that the people of California have elected to Congress. With all the weirdos in California, this program could be the straw that broke the camels back for the United States. When the “Big One” shakes up California, I hope that Feinstein is at home at that time. Maybe it will wash her and the rest of the idiots out to sea.

All other businesses have to meet all the costs of hiring legal workers (Americans or not.) Why should farmers or other businesses get special treatment? That is unAmerican.

Feinstein is just lining her pockets. It’s pretty obvious that she is not there to represent the American people. I’m just not willing to sit back and taake this any more.

According to the Department of Labor this country employes about 1 million Mexican farm-workers to harvest the crops consumed by American consumers. When this bill comes up for a vote, you will see Republicans lining up to approve it. They know, as any rational observer does, that nothing will get harvested unless farmers are allowed to employ this workforce. It is hypocritical for nativists to decry “illegal immigration” when the whole system is geared to allow for maximum exploitation of Mexican farm-workers. As Gary Swann, governmental relations director for the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau put it,“[I]f people think all we have to do is raise wages and hire local workers, they are simply mistaken.” More info at http://eristic-ragemail.blogspot.com/.
