Hispanic group wants feds to investigate beating death of immigrant

The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund is urging the Department of Justice to investigate the death of Luis Ramirez, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who died after allegedly being beaten by several teenagers.

The incident, which occurred over the weekend in Shenandoah, Pa., should be investigated as a possible hate crime, MALDEF said.

“The rise in hate crimes against Latinos documented by the FBI is painfully and tragically clear in the death of Luis Ramirez,” said John Trasvina, MALDEF president, in a news release.

According to an Associated Press account of the incident, the 25-year-old Ramirez was beaten after an argument with a group of youths, including at least some players on the town’s high school football team.

“Despite witness reports that the attackers yelled ethnic slurs, authorities say the beating wasn’t racially motivated,” AP said.

MALDEF is also urging the Department of Justice to send civil rights monitors to Shenandoah.

AP also said that Ramirez had been in the United States for six years and worked in a factory and in the fields, picking strawberries and cherries.

Murder & brutality must never be condoned. There are times when “hate crimes” go down a two-way street.

”Two Illegal Immigrants Arraigned on Murder Charges in Troy”

[‘Well, I had heard about these murders earlier this week - and now 2 suspects have been arrested and arraigned. What makes this case worse is that the 2 murderers never should have been here in the first place - they were illegal immigrants. Miguel Angel Servando and Nelson Oswaldo Mendoza (both from Texas) were charged with the first degree murders of Brij Mohan Chhabra and his wife Aasha Chhabra. The couple was murdered in their home on Tuesday.

District Judge Michael A. Martone denied the two men for bond and entered non-guilty pleas for them, as they stood silent in the courtroom. An interpreter translated the charges and proceedings for the men.

Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor Ken Frazee said, “We are confident we have the right criminals. We are going to leave the victims victims [sic] family out of this right now,” in response to question about the victims’ family’s safety and whether the murder was done for hire. The rumors arose after it was discovered that the couple had sued someone in Texas over a money dispute (source: http://www.theoaklandpress.com/stories/031408/loc_20080314380.shtml).

The two illegal immigrants had been pulled over in Taylor (which is just 2 cities away from my hometown of Lincoln Park) for a “routine traffic check,” upon which the officers found a gun, blood, and the Troy couple’s address on some paperwork. The officers then went and checked the house and found the couple to have been shot.

This all could’ve been avoided. Either the illegals were driving without a license, or they had got a license illegally (because Texas does NOT give licenses to illegal immigrants). We need to crack down on illegal immigrants, because once you’ve broken a law and make your entire life a habit of law breaking (once an illegal immigrant, always an illegal immigrant - you’re constantly breaking the law!), you’re more likely to break more laws. Send ‘em back, not to Iraq!

(continued; “San Francisco’s illegal alien drug dealer shuttle service”)
“Bleeding-heart idiots.”
[‘Speaking of which, you can count on more of the same bloody sanctuary crap from the La Raza Twin Powers , who both pandered to Latino officials this weekend. Not a word from McCain about how sanctuary laws are endangering all Americans and law-abiding residents (it’s a subject he has little interest in). Instead, he said this:

Let me close by talking briefly about my respect and gratitude for the contributions of Hispanic-Americans to the culture, economy and security of the country I have served all my adult life. I represent Arizona where Spanish was spoken before English was, and where the character and prosperity of our state owes a great deal to the many Arizonans of Hispanic descent who live there. And I know this country, which I love more than almost anything, would be the poorer were we deprived of the patriotism, industry and decency of those millions of Americans whose families came here from Mexico, Central and South America. I will honor their contributions to America for as long as I live.

I and many other colleagues twice attempted to pass comprehensive immigration legislation to fix our broken borders; ensure respect for the laws of this country; recognize the important economic necessity of immigrant laborers; apprehend those who came here illegally to commit crimes; and deal practically and humanely with those who came here, as my distant ancestors did, to build a better, safer life for their families, without excusing the fact they came here illegally or granting them privileges before those who did. Many Americans, with good cause, did not believe us when we said we would secure our borders, and so we failed in our efforts. We must prove to them that we can and will secure our borders first, while respecting the dignity and rights of citizens and legal residents of the United States. But we must not make the mistake of thinking that our responsibility to meet this challenge will end with that accomplishment. We have economic and humanitarian responsibilities as well, and they require no less dedication from us in meeting them.

John McCain, meet Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution:

“The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion…”

Oh, and elsewhere in San Francisco, three more innocent victims suffered the inhumane, bloody consequences of the city’s illegal alien sanctuary ordinance:

A suspected gang member charged with killing a father and two of his sons after a minor traffic incident has been ordered held without bail. Twenty-one-year-old Edwin Ramos of El Sobrante is accused of killing 48-year-old Tony Bologna, and his sons Michael and Matthew after the Bologna’s car blocked Ramos’ car from making a turn onto a narrow San Francisco street. Authorities say Tony Bologna put his car in reverse to let Ramos pass, and Ramos and his sons were gunned down.

Police say Ramos is a member of the Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, gang. Immigration authorities say they believe Ramos is in the country illegally and could try to deport him once the case is resolved.

Too little, too late.

How many more frequent flyer Honduran drug lords and dead motorists does San Francisco need to see before its citizens demand a repeal of the bloody illegal alien sanctuary policy?’]

Illegals do this to us all the time. They call us names, put us down, start fights all the time. They fight only in gangs, no one to one. Then they scream racist when it doesn’t go their way.

George, Larry, L1M89 Luis Ramirez was an individual with children and was engaged to be married. He was killed by several high school students who called out racial slurs, and kicked him in the head while his friends tried to make them stop. A retired police officer living near the scene of the crime confirmed eye witness accounts that one of the assailants said “tell her Mexican friends to get out of Shenandoah, “or you’re going to be laying next to him.”” This friend of Ramirez who witnessed the killing, Arielle Garcia, was a classmate of the assailants and identified them all by name. Noone in this sad story is related to any drug ring in San Francisco.

Hate Crimes are a two-way street…

[‘Noone in this sad story is related to any drug ring in San Francisco.’]

This is one of many “sad stories” that are related to violent Latino drug rings in `Frisco.

“Bush Should Strip Sanctuary Cities Of Federal Funds”

[‘Three good men are dead thanks largely to San Francisco’s outrageous sanctuary-city policy, which forbids city authorities from notifying federal immigration authorities when they arrest illegal aliens for crimes they commit, and it’s time for President Bush to crack down on all the cities in the United States that follow this absurd policy. On June 22, Anthony Bologna and his sons Michael and Matthew were shot to death by Edwin Ramos, 21, after a brief traffic incident when Anthony Bologna allegedly briefly blocked Ramos’ car from making a left turn, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Ramos, an alleged member of the vicious the Mara Salvatrucha gang, known as MS-13, should never have been around to kill the three men, and wouldn’t have been — were not for the city’s sanctuary-city policy. Ramos, an illegal immigrant, was found guilty of committing two felonies when he was 17 — involving a gang-related assault of a Municipal Railway passenger and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman — yet was never surrendered by the city’s juvenile justice authorities to federal officials for possible deportation as required by federal law. Ramos was taken to juvenile hall on charges of assault and participating in a street gang, and was later convicted in juvenile court and put in a shelter. Under federal law, he should have been referred to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) but the Juvenile Probation Department’s policy for dealing with offenders stipulated that “probation officers shall not discriminate in any fashion against minors based on their immigration status.” On April 2, 2004, Ramos was released to the custody of his mother, despite the fact that he had already been flagged by federal authorities as an illegal immigrant. He was still considered a ward of the court and was on probation. Just four days later, records show, he committed another crime at 19th and Mission streets, two blocks from the site of the attack on the Muni passenger. He was released after city prosecutors declined to charge him in connection with an arrest in March on suspicion of weapons and gang violations. There is a dispute revolving around the question of whether ICE was ever notified of the Ramos arrest, but the fact remains that for the last 10 years the city’s juvenile justice authorities have followed a policy of not turning over illegal-immigrant felons to the federal government, basing the practice on San Francisco’s sanctuary-city status and state law barring local officials from surrendering them for deportation. After a storm of protest following the slayings of the Bologna family men, San Francisco’s ultra-liberal Mayor Gavin Newsom belatedly rescinded that policy earlier this month following a report in the Chronicle that the city had flown a number of youths out of the country on its own, in possible violation of federal law, and then housed some in unlocked group homes from which they quickly escaped. His action came too late to save the lives of the Bologna men.’]

Murder & mayhem must not be condoned, regardless of who’s the perpetrators. Murder by the KKK or the TanClan is equally despicable & all thugs must prosecuted.

Here’s another “sad story” that’s related to violent Latino drug rings. This story of criminal brutality is from Phoenix, AZ.

“Mexican Cartel Zetas Attack and Kill an American in Phoenix” [‘Mexican cartel Los Zetas paramilitary surrogates attacked and slaughtered an American in Phoenix Ariz. Police say the attackers were dressed in black military like combat uniforms very similar to known Mexican cartel paramilitary gangs.

Phoenix papers report that 6 Mexicans killed a Phoenix man who was found dead by police in a local neighborhood home riddled with more than 100 bullets. Google or click on: They’re known as “Los Zetas

The WorldNetDaily is reporting that some are calling a Mexican drug cartel hit performed by members of the active Mexican Army. According to early and sketchy reports a Phoenix Police Special Assignments Units heard shots coming from a nearby neighborhood and began to drive toward the noise Sunday. Detectives said once police gained entry into the home, they found the body of Andrew Williams, 30, shot numerous times, according to Arizona Daily News.

“We have seen an increasing amount of these type of violent crimes in the past five months,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Joel Tranter said. “We want the public to realize that these types of crimes will not be tolerated in Phoenix.”

Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, R-Ariz., said Tuesday on 550 KFYI-AM that he had acquired an internal memo identifying one of the suspects as a former member of the Mexican military, and he interviewed Mark Spencer of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association. The men were said to be wielding AR-15 assault weapons and wearing full body armor and black assault gear similar to uniforms worn by military and police tactical teams.

Detectives were alarmed to find more than 100 rounds of ammunition in the bullet-riddled home, along with marijuana and body armor, the Arizona Daily News reported. Just as more investigators appeared on the scene, they saw a suspicious red Chevrolet Tahoe driving through the neighborhood. As the officers gave chase three men jumped from the vehicle and ran, but police run them down and arrested them. Spencer said the men were intending to try and ambush the pursuing officers but had ran out of ammunition.

Daniel Garcia-Saenz, 24, Manual Garcia-Trejom, 25, and Rodolfo Madrigal Lopez, 19, each wore tactical clothing and Kevlar helmets and other weapons were found in the vehicle. Police believe the hit was drug-related and are looking for three more suspects in the case. This is but another example that the violence in Mexico has and is spilling over into the states, even through many politicians and even the ambassador to Mexico have said it was not happening. The laws should be rigidly enforced which prohibit the immigration of a servile class to compete with American labor, with no intention of acquiring citizenship, and bringing with them and retaining habits and customs repugnant to our civilization. - Grover Cleveland - First Inaugural Address - Wednesday, March 4, 1885
