I have seen Mr. Trujillo, but don’t believe I’ve ever met him. An eatery that is so successful usually has a successful owner, and appearantly a good man. God bless Mr. Trujillo; God bless his family!! <><

Wow, this is just sloppy journalism. I had to read down to the 13th paragraph to find out how he died and when, which I would have liked to have known from the beginning. This is still news, isn’t it?

We love having your family at the restaurant (El Tapatio’s) for all your special occasions. We know how much Senor Trujillo loved those mariachis. He was and is a great man whom we respect and whose family we appreciate. We are happy to have become part of your memories by sharing them with us. Our condolences go out to his family. He is in Heaven now and will continue to watch over you always. Que Dios los bendiga hoy y siempre.

To the Trujillo’s and the extended family, we are sorry for your loss, and the loss to the Waco business comunity as a whole.

To s, This is about the man and the legacy that he left. If you want the how and when, go to the obits.

I knew Mr Trujillo and his wife very well while at El Chico and have many fond memories of our days in the restaurants and seeing them at the TRA. They were like a part of our family and shared in many special celebrations. I know his family will miss him very much but also know they have many friends and a big family that can share stories of the good times they had with him. May God bless you all. Carmen and Randy

I knew Silverio and his lovely wife, Delia, for many years during the time they both worked for El Chico. His family can truly be very proud of his years of success in the Mexican restaurant business in Waco. But, more importantly, he will always be remembered as an outstanding example of a dedicated and hard-working person who loved his family, his community, and his business colleagues. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends for your loss.
