‘Halo 3’ on the horizon

Well, it looks like it’s time I started saving up for an Xbox 360.
Microsoft has announced some of the details about “Halo 3,” the next game in the very popular franchise, including that it is due out sometime next year. So that gives me the rest of this year and however much time next year to save my pennies.
I was already mulling an upgrade — much as I love the original Xbox — and this is just a greater incentive. I’ve enjoyed playing both “Halo” and “Halo 2,” although, come to think of it, I don’t think I ever got to the end of the second one. My boyfriend and I even have our own way of talking about “Halo” — members of the Covenant, the bad guys, are referred to as “chickens,” “blue meanies” and “the guy with the sword.”
Ah, memories …
