By Carl Hoover
| Sunday, June 17, 2007, 10:23 AM
In conjunction with our multimedia game in which we’re asking Harry Potter fans to rank the characters most likely to die in the final volume of the series, due to arrive next month, we’re providing a thread here for you Potter buffs to share your conjectures about what will happen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Will Harry live in his fight against Lord Voldemort? Will he find the parent supposedly still alive? How about friends Ron and Hermione?
For those of you obsessed about solving the plot threads of this saga - and you know who you are - step up and share your solutions.

Voldemort kills Hermione.
At the end of the story Hagrid was killed by Snape in the attempt to ambush Hermione and Ron. Ron and Hermione flee but Voldermort, surprising them, engaged a magical duel with Ron and Hermione. Voldemort attacked through the imperius curse and Hermione, to protect the life of Ron. Then harry kills the bad guys. End of story.

JKR has said that two major characters die in book 7. Everyone is assuming this means one of the Three…but do not forget that Snape and Voldamort are both major characters (and a side note: I still believe Snape is good). Unfortunately Hagrid, Mr. & Mrs. Weasley and Lupin are also major characters. Any of these could not make it out alive. If the story follows classic story-telling and mythology, the hero will most likely live to defeat the villain, get the girl and move on with life.
One other small prediction: Neville becomes the youngest professor at Hogwarts. Teaching Defense Against The Dark Arts.
