A Facebook movie? Who’s a Friend to that?
I shouldn’t be surprised after seeing movies made from videogames (Resident Evil, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Super Mario Brothers, Final Fantasy, etc., etc. ) and Disneyland rides (Pirates of the Caribbean) that one of the Internet’s most popular social networking applications, Facebook, is getting attention as a possible movie.
OK, it’s really Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg who’s the center of attention, but I have to wonder how filmmakers are going to translate what’s basically a two-dimensional interface into something visually interesting - a task Hollywood still hasn’t mastered though computers have been a part of our lives for more than two decades.
I’m a Facebook newbie myself, having created my page earlier this month and still trying to figure out its nuances (What’s the difference between posting on the wall and notes? My wall or yours? Do I accept people I don’t know - or can’t remember immediately - as my Friends? Is this a networking thingie where the more Friends, the merrier, or is it an online version of that oh-so-popular-and-we-know-it clique in high school? Feel free to email me or write on my Wall.)
Stuff like this always gets me thinking What next? followed by, Should I try and get there first?QVC Shopping Channel: The Movie? YouTube - The Directors’ Cuts? Twitter? iPhone, the iMovie?

If they make a movie about Mr Face.Com, I sure don’t want them to use my info and my picture was done in the Stone Age. Some scary people sometimes want to be my friend, but then some people might consider me scary.
