Wade Bowen brings big friends to town Nov. 2-3
By Carl Hoover

If a man’s friends tell you something about a person, then you might be even more impressed with Waco native Wade Bowen, who will bring friends Cross Canadian Ragweed, the Randy Rogers Band and Stoney LaRue - pretty much the heart of the Red Dirt Movement in Texas country - back to Waco.
They’ll perform for Bowen’s annual golf tourney classic, a fundraiser that has earned tens of thousands of dollars for charitable causes, in concert Nov. 2 at the Heart O’ Texas Fair Complex’s General Exhibits Building.
Bowen has a new CD out, If We Ever Make It Home, that debuted Sept. 30 at No. 3 on iTunes’ country albums chart. There’s been a lot of critical buzz for the song “Turn On The Lights,” which Bowen wrote after his family’s struggle with postpartum depression. In fact, proceeds from this year’s Classic will benefit Postpartum Support International.
