The East Texas Baptist School of Fine Arts will present a chamber recital on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Mabee Recital Hall of the Jenna Guest Music Building.
Pianists Dr. Randall Sulton, ETBU professor of music; ETBU piano performance majors Angela Love of Linden; and Jennifer Shafer of Big Piney, Wyo., will perform piano trios of Beethoven, Dvorak, and Mendelssohn in collaboration with clarinetist Dr. Tom Webster, Dean of the ETBU School of Fine Arts, violinist Russell Lewis, and cellist Pamela Martin. The Longview String Quartet, comprised of Lewis, Martin, violist Shane Almendarez and second violinist Renee Ward, will join Dr. Sulton and Dr. Webster in Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes.
Claude Bolling's "Sonata for Two Pianos, Percussion and Double Bass" will be performed by pianists Dr. Sulton and piano major Lance Candler of Denton, Texas, with percussionist Anthony Robinson of Marshall, Texas, and bassist Chris Allen of Shreveport. La.
