Celebrity visits Lee Elementary
Bernadette Nason, an actress, writer, comedienne and storyteller, visited Robert E. Lee Elementary School Oct. 6. Both students and staff alike were mesmerized by the story of Raggy Lug, the little bunny who learned a hard lesson about obeying his mother, and the mysterious Waylum Baylum, who never seemed to actually show up in the scary haunted house where all were waiting for him.
Ms. Nason is registered as a touring artist with the Texas Commission on the Arts. She has been performing in Central Texas since 1993, but she has been telling stories since she was just a little girl. Her English accent is regularly heard on NPR's Sunday morning radio show "Sound Sight." She is often seen on TV and in regional theatrical productions.
