SHREVEPORT — Shreveport Little Theatre's box office is now open for the production "It Runs in the Family," a British farce, by Ray Cooney.
The wild comedy starts Friday through Nov. 15 at the Woman's Department Club.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors, students and active military. Student rush tickets are also available for $10 with a valid college or high school ID.
Set in a hospital, "It Runs in the Family" contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts, including a doctor who tries to fend off a paternity suit, a threatening wife, a punkish son and various other lunatics so that the doctor may, at last, deliver the prestigious Ponsonby Lecture at an international medical conference.
Playwright Ray Cooney, Britain's master farceur, is author of "Move Over," "Mrs. Markham," "Run for Your Wife," and "Caught in the Net."
Appearing in the comedy will be Mike Martindale, Michael Blake Powell, Betty Cummings, Jim Cowles, J.F. Daniel, Joe Todaro, Lisa Daye, Haley Young, Roger Kalmbach, Jamie Norwood, Charles Montgomery and Virginia Walker.
Robert Darrow directs. Others on the creative team include: Sylvia Rachal, stage manager, costumes, props and scenic artist; David White, lighting design; Mike Ferrell, lighting operator; and, Mike Jarrett, set design.

Performance dates are 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and Nov. 13 and 14. Performances are at 2 p.m. this Sunday and Nov. 15.
