Three Eagles named TABC All-Region

The Tatum Eagles won Class 2A, Region III and advanced to the state championship game.
The Eagles were recognized for their accomplishments with three players being named All-Region by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches – Chaston Brooks, Robbie Rockwell and Klifton Willis.
Other East Texans to earn All-Region honors in Class 2A were White Oak's Slade Sutton, Waskom's Kevin Johnson, Union Grove's Garrett Gibson, Hawkins' Noah Burwell, New Boston's Jeff Gladney and Central Heights' Keaton Fontenot.
In Class 3A, Kilgore's Trey Conrod earned All-Region honors after leading the Bulldogs to the regional tournament. Anthony Sanders of Athens and Brownsboro's Will Bailey joined Conrod on the All-Region team.
Whitehouse's Patrick Mahomes was selected in Class 4A.
Several East Texans were named All-Region in Class A.
In Class A, Division I were San Augustine's Dez Randle and Jarvis Smith, Tenaha's Chavis Gregory, Alto's Zachris Sturns, Martin's Mill's Hunter Conway and Davis Moore, and LaPoynor's Octavious Crear, James Jackson and Mason Motal.
In Class A, Division II were Avinger's Jeremiaha Clark, Laneville's Tralon Alexander, Kendrick Anderson, Donta Harris and Ty Johnson, and Douglass' Bryce Westbrook.
Tatum's Alexes Bell was named to the Class 2A All-State team by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
Also earning All-State recognition were Winnsboro's Danielle Mabry in 2A, Martin's Mill's Cheyenne Brown in Class A, Division I and Chireno's Lauren Lee in Class A, Division II.
