WASKOM — For a spirit-filled night of Southern gospel music, join The Mark Trammell Trio Saturday, as the group performs in concert at the Waskom High School auditorium.
The concert will begin at 6 p.m. Also appearing will be Journey of Nacogdoches and Joseph Ellenburg, who is lead singer for the Chordsmith Quartet.
The group comprising of Trammel, Dustin Sweatman and Joel Wood is from Gadsden, Ala. Trammell, himself, has sang with some of the most popular groups in Southern gospel music including the Cathedrals, Greater Vision and Gold City.
The trio's evangelistic ministry's hits include "I Needed To Hear That Today," "Once Upon A Cross," "Safe On The Glory Side," and just recently on the charts the powerful ballad, "Loving The Lamb."
To get to Waskom High School, take Exit 633 off Interstate Highway 20 and take U.S. Highway 80 to the east towards Waskom. Go approximately 1 and a half miles east then take a right on Farm-to-Market Road 9 South. Go about a half a mile to School Avenue West, take a right and the school will be visible there on the right. The school's address is 980 School Avenue West.
