The Marshall Police Department discovered that a business had been broken into while they were filing a burglary report at a neighboring location. Someone in the 200 block of South Alamo Boulevard said that the back door to their building was pried open and items were missing. The report was taken at 7:04 a.m. Monday.
While taking the first report, officers noticed that another building had been broken into also in the 200 block of South Alamo Boulevard. The report was taken at 7:35 a.m.
Arrests by Marshall Police Department
Kirsten Scharlynn Singleton, 20, 2500 block of East End Boulevard South, Apt F4, Harrison County warrants for theft by check and possession of drug paraphernalia, 7:10 p.m. Monday.
Bruce Eric Jenkins, 47, 908 Singleton, MPD warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, 8:10 p.m. Monday.
Earnest Lee Cooks, 49, 100 East End Boulevard North, invalid driver's license, 8:10 p.m. Monday.
David Burton Meyer, 26, 600 East Burleson St., criminal trespass of a habitation, 1:36 a.m. Tuesday.
Incidents reported to Marshall Police
Theft over $1,500: 2600 block of East Houston Street. Someone said copper wiring and aluminum wiring had been stolen off a truck, 8:27 a.m. Monday.
Theft over $1,500: 3700 block of West Pinecrest Drive. Someone allegedly took copper wiring off all the trucks, 9:38 a.m. Monday.
Criminal mischief: 100 block of East Pinecrest Drive. The front door of a business was broken, 9:45 a.m. Monday.
Theft: 1500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. A woman said someone took money out of her desk, 10:36 a.m. Monday.
Theft over $50, less than $500: 100 block of East End Boulevard North. A display camera was allegedly taken, 6:43 p.m. Monday.
Assault family violence: Circle and Cross streets. A woman said her boyfriend was beating her, 7:40 p.m. Monday.

Burglary of a building: 7300 block of Blocker Road. Several items including a PA system worth $1,500, a microphone worth $90, business checks and a door facing were allegedly taken from a church, 9:40 a.m. Monday.
Criminal mischief: 200 block of Hallsville Heights Road. A mailbox worth $40 was allegedly damaged, 10:15 a.m. Monday.
Injury to elderly: Farm to Market Road 2879. A 71 year old man was allegedly assaulted by a man, 10:33 a.m. Monday.
Theft: National Truck Stop. A man said someone cut the lock to his horse trailer and took several tools, including two nail guns worth $2,000, two mater saws worth $200, a cordless drill worth $200 and core nailer worth $450, 11:43 a.m. Monday.
Incident: 200 block of Nelson Road, Hallsville. A woman said her medicine was missing, 3:45 p.m. Monday.
Burglary of a building: 400 block of Beauty Shop Road. Someone allegedly took a chain saw, a generator, wrenches and a latch guard from a building, 4 p.m. Monday.
Runaway: 7300 block of U.S. Highway 80 East. Four people allegedly ran away from Hartlight Ministries in Hallsville, 10 p.m. Monday.

As of 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, there were 182 inmates in the custody of Harrison County Jail.
