POLICE REPORT: Guilty pleas entered in district courts

Staff Reports

Several people entered guilty pleas in 71st District Court recently and were sentenced.

They include:

Angela Renee Blalock, debit card abuse, two years in state jail, probated for three years;

George Justin Davenport, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, two years in state jail, probated for five years;

Matthew Bryan Morris, motion to adjudicate guilt, sentenced to two years in state jail, probated for five years.

U.S. District Court

Michael Dain Bonner, 32, of Gregg County entered a guilty plea Wednesday to federal drug trafficking charges, U.S. Attorney John M. Bales said in a press release.

Bonner appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Judith K. Guthrie of Tyler.

According to information presented in court, in June 2008, Bonner was found to be in possession of methamphetamine with intentions to deliver it to others in the Longview area.

A 17-count federal indictment was returned by a grand jury on Feb. 4, 2009, charging Bonner with federal drug trafficking crimes.

He faces up to 40 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

This case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the FBI, East Texas HIDTA Violent Crimes Task Force; CODE Unit, sheriff's office, and district attorney's office of Gregg County, and Longview and Kilgore police departments.

Prosecutor is Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.

Charla Allen Downs, 56, 4301 Idylwild St., Marshall, theft over $50 and under $500, 1:56 p.m., Wednesday.

William Lewis, 73, 202 Rosborough St., Marshall, public intoxication, 3:09 p.m., Wednesday.

Jerry Dewayne Brightman, 36, 1003 Talley St., Marshall, resisting arrest search/transport, driving while license invalid, display expired motor vehicle inspection, and failure to maintain financial responsibility, third or more offense, 8:37 p.m., Wednesday.

Kenneth Lee Hall, 53, 4610 Karnack Highway, Marshall, driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial reponsbilbity, third or more offense, 11:33 p.m., Wednesday.

Patricia L. Henderson, 50, 100 Lucille St., Marshall, public intoxication, 12:16 p.m., Thursday.

Carl Lawayne Flamer, 40, 1107 Johnson St., Marshall, HCSO warrant failure to maintain financial responsibility, 2:10 a.m., Thursday.

Shawn Darryl Collier, 40, 5212 Buck Sherrod Road, Marshall, possession of a controlled substance, 5:52 a.m., Thursday.

Incidents reported to Marshall Police Department

Theft under $50: 500 block of South Allen Street. Both license plates were stolen from a vehicle, 10:21 a.m. Tuesday.

Burglary of a vehicle: 600 block of Evans Street. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle, 11:37 a.m. Tuesday.

Debit card abuse: 4000 block of East End Boulevard South, 2:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Criminal mischief: 1000 block of West Houston Street, 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary of motor vehicle: 2000 block of Victory Drive. A purse was stolen from a vehicle, 3:47 p.m. Tuesday.

Telephone harassment: 4000 block of John Reagan Street, 8:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary of a vehicle: 900 block of East End Boulevard North. A purse was stolen from a vehicle, 9:24 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary: 600 block of South Allen Street. A residence was broken into and several items were taken, 11:26 p.m. Tuesday.

Aggravated assault: 600 block of Charlotte Street, 11:29 p.m. Tuesday.

Theft over $50 and under $500: 1700 block of East End Boulevard North, 1:38 a.m. Wednesday.

Burglary of a vehicle: 2000 block of Victory Drive. A vehicle was broken into, 5:12 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft over $50 and under $500: 1000 block of East End Boulevard North, 1:26 p.m., Wednesday.

Criminal mischief: 700 block of Hugh Street. Someone damage the front door to a residence, 6:53 p.m., Wednesday.

Terroristic threat: 1000 block of Kahn Street. A woman reported her brother threatened her with a knife, 10:13 p.m., Wednesday.

Assault (all other and simple): Hudson Street, 10:37 p.m., Wednesday.

Assault (all other and simple): 2000 block of VanZandt Avenue. A woman was assaulted by her boyfriend, 11:27 p.m., Wednesday.

Arrests by Harrison County Sheriff's Office
