U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced Thursday that a 31-year-old Longview man has pled guilty to federal drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
Erick Lamar Addison pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute crack cocaine before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love. According to information presented in court, Addison was selling crack cocaine from his home in the Longview area.
An indictment was returned by a federal grand jury on April 8, charging Addison with federal drug trafficking crimes.
Addison faces up to 40 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
Addison has also agreed to the forfeiture of a firearm and ammunition.
This case is being investigated by the Gregg County CODE unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Longview Police Department.

Nicholas Duane Conner, 25, 2410 W. Houston St., assault family violence, 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
Jacob Ryan Crawford, 19, 1624 Jackson Road, Harleton, no insurance, 1:25 a.m. Sunday.
Amanda Roxanne Chatman, 27, 4204 Blocker Road, Marshall, MPDs warrant for speeding and driving while license invalid, 3:52 p.m. Sunday.
Incidents reported to the Marshall Police Department
Animal complaint: 600 block of Houston Street. Someone dropped off a pit bull, which appeared to be sick or beaten, in a neighborhood, 8:29 a.m. Sunday.
Disturbance: 2400 block of Beaver Street. Officials heard yelling in the background after a 911 hangup, 8:32 a.m. Sunday.
Welfare check: East End Boulevard. A man was pushing a female into traffic, 8:44 a.m. Sunday.
Assault: 1100 block of Calloway Street. A 15-year-old was receiving death threats through text messages, 12:42 p.m. Sunday.
Reckless conduct: 1500 block of Lancaster Street. A small red truck was doing doughnuts in the roadway, 4:46 p.m. Sunday.
Hit and run: 1200 block of Grand Avenue. A person's vehicle was hit in a parking lot, 5:07 p.m. Sunday.
Disturbance: 300 block of Interstate Highway 20. A woman was causing problems, 5:20 p.m. Sunday.
Theft: 1000 block of Scenic Loop. A bicycle was stolen from a residence, 6:17 p.m. Sunday.
