The college had the formal dedication of the building \— named for Ingram, who served on the Wiley board of trustees for many years and was a strong supporter of higher education \— Friday afternoon.
The nursing home was acquired in November 2008 and underwent extensive renovations before a section was opened for female students.
More work is planned on the dormitory for the future.
In addition, preliminary plans have been developed to build a new residence hall, which requires board approval.
The renovated hall was acquired to help Wiley contend with the increase in enrollment it has experienced that required many students to live off campus in hotels. The school's population is now more than 1,000 students.
Ingram graduated from Wiley in 1942 and was named to the board in 1997.
He served during World War II at the Normandy Base Section, ETOUSA, and retired from the U.S. Bureau of the Census.
He earned a law degree from Washington College of Law at American University.
