Marshall police officers redirected traffic for more than two hours Monday after a two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler and a car blocked the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 North and Loop 390.

At least one person was transported to the hospital following a collision between a car and an 18-wheeler. The accident tied up traffic for at least two hours.

Dispatchers alerted officials around 11 a.m. of the accident, which occurred in inclement weather. According to the scanner, a woman was pinned inside of the vehicle.
Officers arrived at the scene to find the 18-wheeler flipped to its side and a wrecked car with deflated airbags.
At least one person was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Highway 59 Wrecker and Transport service responded to the scene to provide towing services.
