The program is designed to upgrade skills and certification in energy efficiency and renewable energy industries and codes, according to George Richardson, TSTC's executive assistant to the president. The program is organized by the college, SUPERNet Consortium and Workforce Solutions.
Cindy Leleko, TSTC associate vice president, said the program is for those individuals and employers "interested in learning more about training and/or certification in 'energy efficient/renewable energy' systems technologies, including the benefits to the company for developing some of these initiatives and where to obtain training and additional information."
Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday in Room 515 of school's south campus, 2650 East End Blvd. Also, classes for apprenticeship programs geared toward adults and high school students are available at noon Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
