A federal district judge in Georgia has finally had enough of Orly Taitz, the California lawyer and dentist who has spent the last year or so pressing his ridiculous claims that President Barack Obama is not a U.S. citizen, thus not eligible to be president.
U.S. District Judge Clay D. Land issued a 43-page order and fined Taitz $20,000, "as a deterrent to prevent future misconduct and to protect the integrity of the court."
Good for the judge, even though we doubt it will stop Taitz. We're sure he will have some help in paying the fine. There are many more important things for the court to consider.
Oh, and we know you were wondering: Judge Land was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2001.
