B.J. Hill rushed for 237 yards on 28 carries as Marshall's junior varsity football team won the District 13-4A title with a 29-14 road win over Mount Pleasant on Thursday night.
The decision gave the Mavericks a 7-0-1 record on the season.
Terrance Foster added 73 rushing yards and one touchdown on five carries, while Trey Green had a rushing a rushing touchdown and also forced a fumble and returned it 30 yards for a score on defense.
Other defensive leaders for Marshall included John Smith (five tackles and one sack), Quebec Polk (five tackles), Tyrone Watson (sack) and Dakota Newsome (sack).
Marshall coaches also said Jared Horton and Kenderson Cooks turned in good performances on defense while Troy Dawson and Demontray James played well on the offensive side.
The Mavs also recovered an onside kick by Pedro Farnsworth during the win.
