MOUNT PLEASANT — Pine Tree's Lanna Davis won her third straight individual district title, and Hannah Robey was third overall as the Lady Pirates captured the District 13-4A Cross Country championship.
Davis clocked in at 12:38, and Roby at 13:40 for the Lady Pirates. Pine Tree won the team title, followed by Sulphur Springs and Marshall.
Also for Pine Tree, Laurita Keeler clocked in at 13:55 (fifth), Claudia Aguilar at 14:00 (sixth), Hannah Lindwall at 14:14 (10th), Erica Benton at 14:50 (15) and Tiarra Hannah at 15:35 (20th).
For the boys, Longview runners Dontayvous Allen and Quinton Deller qualified for the upcoming regional cross country meet. Allen, a sophomore, clocked in at 17:22 and finished seventh overall while Deller, a freshman, was ninth with a time of 17:28.
Pine Tree's top finisher was Justin Blackwell, who finished fifth with a 17:18 clocking to earn a trip to the regional meet. Dominic Colbert was 14th, Conner Lewis 29th, Reed Laster 30th, Cody Abney 37th, Jose Viramontes 38th and Todd McDonald 39th.
Longview and Pine Tree finished tied for fifth in the team race.
Sulphur Springs won the boys team title, followed by Hallsville, Marshall and Mount Pleasant.
The top three teams and top 10 individuals advance to the Class 4A Region II Meet on Nov. 7 in Arlington.
