2. Lake Okeechobee, Fla. (1928): Category 4, killed 2500.

3. Katrina, Louisiana, Mississippi (2005): Category 3, killed 1,500.

4. Cheniere Caminanda (1893): Category 4, killed 1100-1400.

5. Sea Islands, South Carolina, Georgia (1893): Category 3, killed 1000-2000.
