A backcountry wildfire has been reported in a remote region east of Redwood Valley, which is 92 percent contained. The Burris Fire is roughly 50 miles inland from scenic Highway 1. Given the incident’s remote location, Mendocino’s legendary coastline, Anderson Valley wine region and key tourism areas remain untouched. Full containment is due shortly.
