Lindsey Elise Whitis and Benjamin Jacob Boeshans were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony during a Nuptial Mass on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Denzil Vithanage of Marshall and Rev. Jonathon Austin of Dallas, Texas.

Lindsey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Whitis of Marshall. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Faye Whitis of Longview, and the late W.L. Whitis of Longview, Mrs. Virginia Littlejohn, and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Parker of Marshall. Ben is the son of Ms. Mary Kay Boeshans of Casselton, N.D., and Brian Boeshans of West Fargo, N.D. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Boeshans of Casselton, N.D. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kapaun of Casselton, N.D.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Lindsey wore a gown by Maggie Sottero. The gown was covered in alencon lace adorned with sparkling sequins and beading. The strapless neckline was enhanced with scalloped edging while satin ribbon and a beautiful brooch accent ornamented the waistline. The bride wore a cathedral-length veil edged with Chantilly lace from the train of her mother’s wedding gown that was created by her late grandmother, Anna Parker. The bride carried a pave bouquet of red roses incorporating her great-grandmother’s handkerchief, a ring and a rosary that belonged to her late great-aunts, Johnnette Parker and Billie LeTendre.

The bride’s sister, Melissa Brooks, and sister-in-law, Katie Whitis served as matrons of honor. Anne E. Keough, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor and Niki Matasso and Lisa Matasso, friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids. The flower girl was Madison Norris, cousin of the bride. Josh Roy, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Boeshans, brother of the groom, Ben Bublitz, Dan Bluhm, friends of the groom, Brian Murawski, friend of the couple, and junior groomsman, Will Brooks, nephew and Godson of the bride. Ushers were Patrick Dougherty, Travis Amelang, Thomas Young, friends of the groom, Bill T. Whitis and Kyle Whitis, brothers of the bride.

Music was provided by organist, Thomas Woods, guitarist Mike Auman, and vocalists, Kevin McKee, Matt Coffelt, and Scott Ford. Lectors were Jim Fairchild and ReBecka Whol. Gift bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Dougherty. Eucharistic ministers were Gail Forsythe and Jerry Murawski.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at The Marshall Grand. The couple was driven to the reception by Larry Ford in his 1928 Model A Ford. The historic hotel was decorated in twinkling lighted trees, and bowls of mixed red and white flowers on tables of black and white striped cloths. Guests enjoyed dancing to music provided by Weddings by Daniel of Dallas, Texas. Serving in the houseparty was Leslie Norris, cousin of the bride.

Lindsey is a 2002 graduate of Marshall High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University. She is currently employed as Coordinator of High School Ministry at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Denton, Texas. Ben is a 2006 graduate of Central Cass High School and a 2009 graduate of Michigan Technological University. He is employed as a Consultant at Acoustic Dimensions in Addison, Texas.

The Marshall Grand was the setting for the Rehearsal Dinner, hosted by the groom and his parents. On the morning of the wedding, a bridesmaid’s brunch was hosted by Ellen Searle at her home.

Following the wedding, the couple reside in Carrollton, Texas.
