Christopher Gaw and Halie Sanchez

Halie Sanchez and Christopher Gaw exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Marshall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Patterson and Mr. and Mrs. Rickey Sanchez. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Sanchez. Halie is a Floral Manager at Brookshire’s in Lindale.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gaw and the grandson of Mrs. Lou Gaw and the late Mr. Bill Gaw and Mrs. Oveta Kennedy and the late Mr. J.R. Kennedy. Christopher is Assistant Vice President - Business Services Representative at Southside Bank in Tyler.
Mr. David Smith, grandfather of the bride, officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by organist Mrs. Glenda Abraham; violinist Mr. Leonard Kacenjar; and vocalist Mrs. Shinia Kelsey.
Given in marriage by her father, Mr. Rickey Sanchez and her mother, Mrs. Jan Patterson, the bride wore a floor-length ivory strapless taffeta gown with organza underlay. It was designed with a beaded crystal bow at the waist, which added an extra touch of sparkle and a chapel train with a pick up skirt.
Matron of honor was Pamela Blalock, and LaDonya Speck was the bridesmaid. The flower girls were Sierra Echavarri and Danni Sophia Echavarri.
The attendants wore tea-length plum dresses.
Serving as the best man was Kade Simmons. Cody Cure was the groomsman. The ringbearer was Ayden Blalock. Serving as ushers were Michael Gaw, Chase Sanchez, Chris Sowyrda and Jared Weaver.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Marshall Visual Arts Center. Elegant arrangements accented with cream and lavender roses, dark purple and light purple calla lillies decorated each table. The reception was catered by Hallsville High School Culinary Arts department under the direction of Mrs. Delicia Church and Mrs. Roxanne Gipe.
The rehearsal dinner was held at R&R Bakery, catered by At Your Service Catering - Reese and Ronna Reed. The event was hosted by Lee and Kathy Gaw and Lou Gaw, the groom’s parents and grandmother.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will make their home in Lindale.
