Darrin Peeples and Alyssa Wheeler

Darrin Peeples of Paris, Texas, and his bride, the former, Alyssa Wheeler of Shreveport, La., were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the Silver Lake Ballroom in Shreveport, La.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Laura Wheeler of Shreveport and the granddaughter of the late Alfred Wheeler and James Green and Loretta Wheeler-Green of Shreveport. She is a 2009 graduate of Tyler Junior College and is employed as a dental hygienist for Dr. Robert Palmer Jr. in Shreveport.
The groom is the son of Phillip and Belinda Peeples of Paris, Tx., and the grandson of Betty Thompson and the late Benny Thompson, and the late Frank “Buck” and Wanda Peeples. He is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. Darrin is employed by Texas Parks and Wildlife - Law Enforcement Division, as a Game Warden.
Johny Rickman officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Jodi Mitchell of Waskom was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Wyatt of Marshall, Robin Hughes of Benton, La., Candice Despot of Shreveport, and Shelby Peeples of Paris, Tx. Emory Reaves of Paris, Tx., was the flower girl.
Jarrin Peeples of Grand Cane, La., was the best man. Groomsmen were Forrest Mitchell of Waskom, Janssen Maranto of Marshall, Josh Roraback of Harleton, and Mike Wheeler of Shreveport. The ringbearer was Joe Maranto of Marshall.
The reception was held in the Silver Lake Ballroom.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Caddo Lake State Park recreation hall hosted by the groom’s parents, Phillip and Belinda Peeples.
Following a wedding trip to San Diego, Calif., the couple will make their home in Harrison County.
