Melanie Michelle Northcutt and Matthew Allen Crocker exchanged wedding vows at 5:30 p.m., September 28, 2013, at Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. Pastor Dick Dobbins officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Glenda Hughes of Longview, Texas, and Mike Northcutt and Karen Blanton of Kilgore, Texas. Grandparents of the bride are Ms. Peggy Jones of Kilgore, Texas, and the late Lois Northcutt of Kilgore, Texas.
The groom is the son of Joel Green and Shelia Crocker of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Mitch and Chereé Crocker of Nacogdoches, Texas. Grandparents of the groom are Jack and the late Patsy Sumrall of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Robert and Shirley Crocker of Shertz, Texas.
Given in marriage by her mother and father, Glenda Hughes and Mike Northcutt, the bride wore an ivory v-neckline sheath gown with charmeause satin lining and appliqué lace overlay adorned in crystals. The bride’s bouquet was adorned with white O’Hara roses and her grandmother’s gold and pearl brooches provided by La Tee Da.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Kimberly Mathews of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids were LaCee Holly of Longview, Texas, Lindsey LaVigne of Aberdeen, North Carolina, Valerie Doshier of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Guy of Tyler, Texas, and Lindsay Payne of Montgomery, Texas. The bridesmaids wore floor-length black strapless crinkle chiffon dresses with sashes and carried bouquets adorned with blush dahlias provided by La Tee Da.
Attending the groom as best man was Josh Bass of Aberdeen, North Carolina. Groomsmen were Chris Rector of Houston, Texas, Brian Kelly of Owatonna, Minnesota, Ben Bradley of Austin, Texas, Will Crocker of Nacogdoches, Texas, and BJ Wade of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Ushers were Wesley Denson of Arley, Alabama, Bryant Denson of Aurora, Illinois, and Travis Hopkins of Longview, Texas.
The reception was held at the Villa di Felicita. House party members were Chelsea Cace of Longview, Texas, Kelly Kinsey of Longview, Texas, and Lauren Henson of Longview, Texas. Entertainment was provided by Casey Brown, CMB Music Productions in Tyler. Wedding colors were blush, gold and black, and the wedding cake was a blush four-tiered cake with gold art deco by Chez Bazan French Bakery and Café.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and a 2002 graduate of Pine Tree High School. She is employed as a training coordinator for the Small Business Development Center and realtor for Julie Woods & Associates Real Estate firm.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Nacogdoches High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is employed as a driller for Patterson Drilling.
After honeymooning at the Couples Swept Away Resort in Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Longview, Texas.
