Staff Reports

The Marshall Regional Arts Council held its annual member meeting and installation of officers June 4 at the Michelson Museum. Remarks were made about the achievements of the past year and hopes for the organization going forward.

Frances Hurley, past board president from 2017-19 said, “change is often difficult and the decisions we had to make were tough ones, to say the least. ... We were blessed to have a group of people willing to meet on the spur of the moment, and many times we did, to look at new proposals and ideas with no assurance that they would work.”

Kristal Jeans, current board president of MRAC for the 2019-20 season thanked outgoing and incoming board members for giving their time and effort to ensure MRAC’s future.

“There are so many artists in this town that have touched my life and they are the reason why I do this,” Jeans said. “MRAC is celebrating its 40th year of serving the community...

“It is my goal to ensure that we as an organization are able to make our imprint on the Tri-County area... attracting people of all backgrounds both as visitors as well as potential neighbors.”
