MISD Campus Teachers of the Year

Marshall ISD’s campus teachers of the year include: Debra Winkley, Washington Early Childhood Center; Shana Downs, David Crockett Elementary; Lisa Christopher, Price T. Young Elementary; Courtney Duncan, Sam Houston Elementary; Patricia Coleman, William B. Travis Elementary; Tiffany Cortes, Marshall Junior High School; Skylyn Potts, Marshall High School (9th-10th grades); and Amanda Skinner, Marshall High School (11th-12th grades).

Marshall ISD officially announced the 2018-19 Campus Teachers of the Year during a recent meeting of the MISD Board of Trustees.

Campus principals presented their teachers of the year as the beginning of the annual District Teacher of the Year process in MISD. All eight of the educators who were honored Monday are now eligible for the District Teacher of the Year in MISD, which will be announced in May.

Those two — one elementary, one secondary — will represent Marshall in the annual Region 7 Teacher of the Year selection process this summer and will move on to possibly be included in Texas Teacher of the Year festivities later in the fall.
