Two die in head-on crash on Loop 390

A two-vehicle car accident at the intersection of Loop 390 and Poplar Street took the lives of two people Wednesday night.
One of the victims, whose name hasn't been released yet due to next of kin notification, died at the scene.
The other, 47-year-old Wiley Bogue Jr., who was severely injured at the scene, died a few hours later at Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall where he was taken by ambulance.
"When I arrived, it seemed to be (that) Mr. Bogue was driving in the wrong lane and hit head-on with the decedent," said Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Megan Pinson, who responded to the scene. She pronounced the unknown victim deceased at 8:45 p.m.
"Mr. Wiley was driving a white Dodge Dakota pickup and hit the unknown victim head-on, causing him blunt force trauma (in which) he died," she said, describing the accident was.
Judge Pinson said both drivers, who were the only occupants in their vehicles, seemed to be wearing their seat belts.
Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Judge Clarice Watkins was called to the hospital order an autopsy on the other victim, Bogue, after he died at the emergency room. She said he was pronounced dead by hospital officials at 10:52 p.m.
"I sent his body for an autopsy to Tyler," said Judge Watkins.
Efforts to reach officials at Marshall Police Department who investigated the accident were unsuccessful
