Pedestrian struck, killed by train in Harrison County

A pedestrian standing on the railroad track with two dogs was killed by a train Tuesday evening, officials with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office reported today.
According to a press release, 911 operators received a call at approximately 6:35 p.m. Tuesday that an eastbound Union Pacific freight train was involved in an accident with a pedestrian who was standing on the tracks with two dogs near the intersection of Roy Green Road and U.S. Highway 80.
"The incident killed the pedestrian and dogs," officials said. "The on-board engine cab video from the train is under review by the Union Pacific investigator's office in Longview."
