Jury finds Javonte Sanders guilty of murdering Wiley student

Javonte Sanders, 21, of Marshall, has been found guilty in the murder of Wiley College student Wesley Blackmon and the aggravated assault of two others during a Sept. 13, 2014 house party.
After spending a little over an hour on punishment the jury in the murder trial of Javonte Sanders has sentenced him to 99 years in prison for the murder of Wiley College student Wesley Blackmon and 20 years for the aggravated assault of two others injured at a Sept. 13, 2014 house party. The sentences will run concurrent.
