Texas High scored first when Groom singled to score Madison Prince , who was a courtesy runner for Smith, and Kylee Spriggs to make it 2-0. Turner added to the lead with a three-run homer that sailed over the scoreboard in left field, scoring Ryann Williams and Groom to spread the Lady Tigers' lead to 5-0.

Three straight Lady Mavs struck out in the bottom of the inning to head into the third inning.

Wyrick and Ryann Williams each doubled and were brought home on a 2-RBI error by Kaitlyn Cross to make the score 7-0.

The top of the fifth saw Ryann Williams single before being brought home by Groom's RBI triple, making the score 8-0. Wyrick scored Groom on an RBI infield single to make it 9-0.

Alexis Bolden doubled in the sixth and was brought home on an RBI single from Spriggs to spread Texas High's lead to 10-0.

A scoreless bottom of the sixth inning would mean the end of the game for the Lady Mavs, but they managed to stretch it out to the seventh. Powell led off the bottom of the sixth with a double. She scored on an RBI single from Rich.

Buchanan reached on a fielder's choice. Buchanan and Rich scored on a two-RBI single from Wilkins. That made it 10-3. Flores took advantage of an error and ram home to make it 10-4. Wilkins found her way past home plate to make it 10-5. That was all the Lady Mavs were able to score as they went three up, three down in the bottom of the seventh.

Marshall will return to action Friday when they take on Sulphur Springs on the road.
