Members of the Beserkers Motorcycle Club of Marshall rode for a cause on Saturday as they hosted the club’s fifth annual Toy Drive benefiting the Empty Stocking Fund of Harrison County which provides Christmas presents to children in need.

“The Iron Skulls MC did this for the first three years and then the Beserkers MC picked up the toy drive last year and this is our second year,” Founding President of the Beserkers MC Cody Massey said Saturday.

The club collected toy donations and monetary donations as part of the daylong toy drive at OS2 Pub in downtown Marshall on Sunday.

“I think we got about 200 presents today but we will continue to collect toys and money for toys right up until Christmas,” the Club’s Acting President Eric George said. “Every dollar and every toy stays right here in Harrison County for Harrison County children.”

Those still wishing to donate money or toys can do so by contacting club member “Hippie” at (903) 754-5042.

If monetary donations are made, the Club will use those to purchase the toys still needed on the Empty Stocking Fund list, George said.

Throughout the five years of the toy drive, thousands of toys have been collected or purchased by the motorcycle clubs, Massey said.

“That’s what this is all about, helping the kids of Harrison County,” he said.
