There is now an Enhanced Risk for severe thunderstorms along and north of Interstate 30 tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to move into the I-30 corridor later this evening and continue through the overnight hours. Very large hail, damaging winds gusts, and isolated tornadoes will be possible as well as locally heavy downpours. The severe threat is expected to diminish around daybreak.

A second severe weather threat can be expected on Tuesday afternoon mainly across north-central and northeast Louisiana. Very large hail, damaging wind gusts, and isolated tornadoes will be possible as well as locally heavy downpours.
