Elysian Fields High School's One Act Play cast debuted the "Anatomy of Gray" by Jim Leanoard at the campus auditorium for the local community on Friday, May 12.

The 2023 UIL district advancing play "Anatomy of Gray" for Elysian Fields ISD is set in Indiana in the late 1800s and explores themes of death, loss, love, and healing through a unique coming-of-age story about a girl named June following the loss of her father.

"Words cannot begin to express how proud I am of this group! With all odds stacked against them, they persevered and claimed the stage as their own," said Elysian Fields ISD English Teacher Ariella Wolfe. "I am already looking forward to next year!"

The cast of the play featured Mack Simms as June, Kylie Cline as Rebekah, LeBron Simmons as the Pastor, Teresa Hall as Tiny, Jayden Anderson as Crutch, Izzy Brown as Belva, Baylee Vickers as Maggie, KP Klingensmith as Homer and Dave Entrekin as Galen.

The crew behind the production featured lights by Kloe Golladay and Emma Carrington, sound by Hannah Wisk and Lexi Holland, costumes by Kayla Hay, makeup by Raine Smith, and a "boot thrower" credited to Eric. The play was directed by Kyndal Youngblood.
