A Carlisle High School teacher is facing child pornography charges.

Blake Tyner Harris, 39, of Jefferson, has been in the Harrison County Jail since July 19 on two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of obscene wholesale promotion, according to jail records.

In a statement posted to Facebook on Thursday, the school district said an employee was arrested for possession of child pornography, and they will not return to campus.

Carlisle ISD Board of Trustees will meet on Aug. 27 to consider the teacher’s employment.

Harris’s bonds total $250,000.

In the past, Harris was arrested for tampering with a witness on July 8 this year, harassment and disorderly conduct on June 22 this year, and theft on April 29, 2019.

Reginald Latron Silmon, 37, was arrested Aug. 19 on two MPD warrants for traffic violations.

Kelon Dewon Davis, 27, was arrested Aug. 19 on an MPD no seat belt warrant.

Anthony Drumheller, 22, was arrested Aug. 19 on an HCSO warrant for speeding.

Jason Clint McGuire, 43, was arrested Aug. 20 on possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, more than 1 gram, less than 4 grams.

Incidents reported by the Marshall Police Department

A theft of property more than $100, less than $750 was reported Aug. 19 in the 1500 block of W. Grand Avenue.

A hinder apprehension or prosecution of a known felon was reported Aug. 18 in the 900 block of East Rusk Street.

A theft under $100 was reported Aug. 18 in the 1700 block of N. East End Boulevard.
