The St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church will host a state rally at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30.

Shady Grove CMA to honor stewardesses

Shady Grove CMA Church will hosts its Stewardess/Mission Program at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at the church, 7305 Blocker Road, Marshall.

The speaker will be evangelist missionary Verdell Marsh of Saintsville COGIC. The theme is “People of God walking in His footsteps.”

Marsh, a native of Marshall, is the daughter of the late Novell Marsh and Clara Marsh. She graduated from H.B. Pemberton High School with honors. She was made a profession of faith at the age of 12 and became a member of Shady Grove CMA Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir.

She is currently a member of Saintsville COGIC. She is licensed as an evangelist missionary and speaks and teaches locally and nationally.

St. Paul Baptist to host district meeting

Saint Paul Baptist Church of Tatum will host the East Mount Olive District Association training institute at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30.

The Rev. James E. Webb is the moderator. The Rev. Roger Smith is the host pastor.

The schedule includes: 4:30-5 p.m., registration and fellowship; 4-4:55 p.m. Congress meeting; 5 p.m., called to order by moderator Webb.

The EMO mass choir will practice, information for congress competition will be presented and information for the District and State congress will be reviewed.

Church registration is $50.

The program features Shelia Timberlake, pastor of Bethel CME Church in Beckville. The guest choir is James Chapel Baptist Church and guest soloist is Lisa Barron.

Celebrate Recovery held each Tuesday

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, biblical based recovery program for individuals and their families who are dealing with life issues. The Faith Clinic has moved to Mission Marshall, 2109 S. Washington. Faith Clinic is open the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 6:30 p.m. Services will be rendered by appointment only. Celtic/Taize service Cumberland church

Cumberland Presbyterian offers Celtic/Taize Worship at 5:30 p.m. Sundays.
